Professional artist and tutor painting in a range of media including oils and watercolour.Painting many subjects from portraits to landscape and wildlife. Also a bead artist creating beautiful pieces

Orchid Arts is the home of an Artist. Kate Macleod is a scottish artist who is a professional artist and tutor almost fulltime. She paints in different media such as oil, watercolour, pastels and inks. Using almost raw colours to obtain the bright fresh approach to her work that she's known for. Aswell as portraits she works landscapes, wildlife and the occasional semi abstract. Added to the painting kate is also known for her beadwork, creating jewellery for many different ocassions using beautiful beads from around the world such as thailand,japan and india. Alongside the painting she also teaches watercolour and acrylic/oil classes in the harlow/epping area of essex.
