Bentham Pottery produces hand thrown domestic stoneware pottery, and individual one-offs. Pottery courses are run for all levels of experience.

A range of high quality dish washer/oven proof domestic ceramic pottery wares are produced, as well as one off pots, named logo beakers and specially commissioned commemorative plates(anniversary plates make ideal gifts). Bentham Pottery is famous for its "Bentham blue" range, which has been in production now for over 20 years. All the pottery is hand made on a wheel and is hand decorated. The Pottery is open Mon-Sat 9.00am -5.00pm. Visitors are welcome to look around the gallery, view the ceramics for sale and have a tour of the workshop.Pottery courses are run all year round. We specialise in teaching throwing pots on a wheel, as well as slab pottery, slip decorating and press moulding. Short pottery courses can be arranged for children (these make great birthday parties). Accommodation for a pottery course can be provided in our self catering holiday cottages at Bentham Pottery. They also make a good base for visiting North Yorkshire, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. In addition to selling through the gallery, a number of Craft Fairs and specialised Ceramic Events are attended throughout the year. Bentham Pottery also sells wholesale to various craft/art shops.
