Quiet garden flat in central location adjacent to the 900 year old Cathedral. Minutes walk of High Street, restaurants, public gardens and River Itchen. Short walk to public transport, the water meadows, Winchester College and all places of historical interest in this former capital of King Alfred's Wessex. Accommodation is provided in a ground floor apartment (no neighbours adjacent, but one above) with courtyard garden overlooking the Cathedral grounds and with spectacular views of the Cathedral itself. Accommodation is furnished to the highest specification and consists of bedroom with very comfortable twin beds, radio/CD player, good selection of books, hairdryer, ironing facilities; spacious shower room; fully equipped kitchen with contemporary cookware and crockery, electric oven, microwave, toaster. Washing and drying facilities are available for stays of one week or more; sitting room with comfortable sofa, TV and DVD. French doors open onto a patio (defined by the original flint wall) with table and chairs for al fresco dining if desired (or just sitting and listening to the world famous choir with a drink in hand!). This is Central Winchester and parking spaces close to housing is rare. Although there is no parking bay allocated, a parking permit is available to allow parking in the S zone. There is a small Pay/Display carpark opposite the property (free between 6:00pm and 8:00am) and Park/Ride facilities for £1.50 per day within reach.
